Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Please review and finalize with counsel before publishing.
Your information is treated as confidential. Details you share with us — through the site, the free tool, or Allie — are treated as confidential prospective-client information under the Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct, whether or not you become a paying client.
Who we are
Massachusetts Eviction Law is a private law practice and AI-assisted legal service operated under the supervision of Patrick Donovan, Esq., a licensed Massachusetts attorney. We are not a government agency or court and are not affiliated with any court, the Massachusetts Trial Court, the Housing Court, or any government entity.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name and email, whether you're a tenant or landlord, details about your case (the notice, the Summons & Complaint, dates, court/division, rent and deposit information), your account of what happened, and any evidence you upload (photos, inspection reports, leases, ledgers, the notice).
- Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider (LawPay). We do not store your full card details.
- Usage data: standard analytics such as pages visited and device type, used to improve the service.
How we use it
- To prepare, review, and deliver your summary-process packet and to answer your questions.
- To provide the free tools (exposure calculator, landlord timeline, Notice-to-Quit review, intake).
- To communicate with you about your case from attorney@massachusettsevictionlaw.com.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
How we share it
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example, payment processing (LawPay), secure hosting and storage, email delivery, and the AI provider used to draft your packet — and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Confidentiality & conflicts
Submitting information does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. We still protect the information you share as confidential prospective-client information. Before taking on a matter, we may run a conflict check; if we cannot assist you, we will let you know and will not use your information against you.
Security & retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and retain it as needed to provide the service and meet our professional and legal obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to our obligations to retain certain records. Contact us at attorney@massachusettsevictionlaw.com.
